Women frequently find themselves taken aback by the extent of bias and microaggressions in the workplace, particularly if they had successfully avoided it earlier in their professional journey.

Our 2016 study on gender biases, revealed a noticeable social backlash against assertive women in the workplace compared to their male counterparts. Intrigued by potential shifts, we conducted a follow-up study in 2023.
